My love affair.

Assalamualaikum and Hello,

Looking at the calender, I realise how fast time flies since I first stepped into University of Adelaide, my home for the next three years. Soon enough, it will be the end of my first semester and the start of another semester. The subjects in uni are a lot lesser than compared to that we too during SPM. I mean, back them, we can take up to 10/11/12/13/14/15 subjects and still able to study last minute. But now that we're in uni, having 4 semesters alone is enough to drive us up the wall, literally.

The ratio of subjects in uni as compared to during high school days is 1:3. I guess, what makes uni tougher is the fact that it is all about independant learning+heavy workloads+endless tutorial assignments+hours of blur moments in lecture theatre+hours of lost social life. In uni, it's like a gamble because once you started slacking and missing out in your studies, if you don't wake up as soon as possible, that's it. You will lost a lot. And trust me, you don't want that to happen. It is as ugly as getting a plastic surgery. *taklah, plastic surgery lagi teruk kot sebab tukar pemberian Allah*

Flashback to my SPM days *ecehceh Amirah, cara kau cakap macam dah lama je kan. haha. Padahal baru dua tahun lepas* Anyways, I realise back then how much we have been spoonfed by our teachers and education system. For example, everytime before a test, our teachers would obviously give us 'tips' or 'sample question'. Oh, remember the night before any SPM exam?Yeah, that's when exam questions are being leaked throughout the internet and SMS-es. I recall the day before my history paper, my dearest twin, WAFIY texted me the leak questions. And boy, I salute his sources for getting such almost accurate information! haha.

This not only happen to my history exam but also many other subjects! Almost all, i dare say. Some are perfectly accurate while some are not at all. So, a small piece of advice to future SPM candidates, be wise in choosing your info. Haha. Nah, the actual advice is to study everything regardless of what you tips you get. And for the Ministry of Education, please look into this matter for a better quality education.

Now, back to my degree subjects, no matter how hard i hope for, I will never ever get leak questions. It's all a matter of understanding the theories and principles and applying it. And every knowledge you get is beyond textbooks, lecture slides or lecture recordings. It's all related to our daily life, and the only way to catch up is to observe and analyse what is happening around us. For example, for my Microeconomics assignment, I have to analyse the economic impact of Cyclon Yasi on banana plantation in Australia.

All in all, as you grow older and wiser, nothing comes easy in life. *inilah ayat yang sering berkumandang di telinga bila kita mengadu kat mak ayah yang pelajaran semakin susah. Ayat standard. Hehe* You gotta work out every step and pray for the best! Insyaallah. And so, that is all folk, the story of my love affair with education that I have been having for the past 18 years of my life :)

Till then,
Goodluck studying! :)
